Making it home

We bought a new home this last summer. So I am slowly getting it all 'done'. I found a few things to finish up the look of my kitchen and laundry room. Of course I am never really done, I'm always moving things around.

Junk *updated*

Did a little junk shopping with my hubby yesterday. Found this awesome trunk. Loved the color and roughness of it. Has no lid but I have a idea!
Will post photos soon of my idea.

* I've been searching for a table for beside the bed in my guest room. So when I found this trunk I knew I had to have it. Got it cleaned up and then stole the stuff from other rooms. I love how it turned out. Now to figure out the rest of the room.

I'm hooked.....

I finally gave into peer pressure. All my friends were doing it....even 2 of my boys. Over and over I heard that I HAD to do it. So Friday night I finally did. Yes I'm talking about the Hunger Games. I couldn't put it down it was so good. Yet like nothing I normally read. When I heard what it was about I thought my friends are crazy it sounds so weird. Man was I ever wrong. I'm impressed and can't wait to read the next one. Can't wait for the movie. Have you read it? You have to!

Girls Trip

I have the most amazing group of girlfriends. Five us are getting close to leaving for our 2nd Annual Beach Trip. I am so ready. 3 days of beach time, lots of laughs, great food and little sleep. No kids, no husbands and no cooking! Woo hoo.

Simple

Maybe it's getting older.....but I've noticed little things in life make me so happy.  I know it's silly, but so true.  Every morning I brew a pot of coffee for my sweet husband.  I always kept it in the normal ugly plastic container.  Then one day I remembered I had a cute little glass jar. So now every morning I smile when I add coffee to the pot.  How can such a small object make me so happy?

I love it!
